Thanks to AddressOf.com for blogging about Multiplicity.  Multiplicity is a new software from Stardock that allows you to control multiple computers from the same keyboard/mouse.  Works similar to Multi-Monitors in that you move your mouse from one monitor to the next, except that when you move to the next, you are now controlling that computer.

So, I am sitting here on my laptop, and if I move my mouse to the far right of my screen I will be controlling my server.  I’m going to go launch napster real quick.

Okay back.  Now I can put away the other keyboard that I use for that machine, which means I have to grab it and put the laptop aside or do some weird contortioning, or something, just to use the other computer.  Nope.  Now I’m Multiplicitous.  15 Day free trial, I recommend you try it out at least just to see how cool it is.  I’m not sure if I will buy it yet, because as Mike Gunderloy points out Win2VNC is free.  But, Win2VNC does not yet support Alt+Tab, Ctrl+Alt+Del, and other syskey stuff on the secondary computer.  This may work later, so I may wait to check it out.  in the meantime, i’ll enjoy the next 15 days.

Recommendation on setup:  Set up the client machine first, the master second.  If the master freezes up when you connect the two, reboot it…after reboot it’s working beautifully for me.
