Okay, so I have a GMail invite to give out. The other two are spoken for.

Now I was wondering how I was going to do this. First and foremost...I want to drive traffic to my blog! :-)
Seriously though...I have the GMail because of Jason Mauss (thank you Jason), and I thought the invite I give out should be in his honor. So here's the deal:

Jason has a project going, DevCampus, that I know he is putting a lot of work toward, and that I am stoked about. I think it has incredible potential. Recently Jason posted a call for editors, and as of the last time I chatted with him, response was sparse. Now I know we are all busy. But listen here: this is your opportunity to leave your mark upon our developer community. Not all of us are dev-celebrities. But if we can help this site become big, you can have the opportunity to become one, as well as give something back to the community in a meaningful fashion.

Like I've said before, you can't throw a rock at Google without hitting a code snippet. But this site is going to be different...it is going to offer all of that developer knowledge that we only get through trial and error and experience (or even through school *shudder*)...the stuff that code snippets just don't cover. I honestly think that DevCampus has the potential to be what other developer communities are not (and that is in no way a slight to the other dev sites, they all have high places in my bookmarks), but that we as a community need to help out, because we can't let Jason do it all himself.

So. Go to Jason's Site. Read the DevCampus entries. Read the entry about editorial opportunities. If it seems like something you want to get in on, then send Jason an email through his site, or leave a comment. The first one to get involved as a result of this blog (make sure you mention it) will get my GMail invite. That's the best I can do. And please, have some honor and don't just tell him you'll do it to get the invite. He will let me know who it goes to.

Blah blah blah this isn't a scientific process, I'm just trying to get people involved, so no bitching if you don't get the invite. This is subjective. Insert disclaimer here.
